Ryan Alger

Ryan Alger - Varsity Assistant, Head JV
3rd Year

Coach Alger returns for his 3rd season with the program, and his 2nd as the JV coach.  He has spent the last 7 years coaching Middle School Girls Basketball and AAU.  He also served as the director for the Wethersfield Girls Travel Basketball program.   Prior to his entry into Girls basketball, Coach Alger spent 7 years on Active Duty in the U.S Army JAG Corp and completed some of the best leadership courses in the Army.  He also spent two years at the United States Military Academy as a Professor teaching Constitutional Law and as the operations officer and assistant with the West Point Baseball Team.
 

Coach Alger is a 1992 Graduate of Taunton High School, in Taunton, MA where he played Football, Baseball, Tennis and Basketball.  He was a three- year varsity starter on the Basketball team winning two league championships and playing in three state tournaments.   He was also named all-league and all state honorable mention as a senior. 

Coach Alger graduated cum laude from Providence College in 1996. He also earned a J.D. from the Claude Petit School of Law at Ohio Northern University in 1999.

Coach Alger is an Administrative Law Judge in Hartford, CT and lives in Wethersfield with his wife Jennifer and two daughters Ella and Abby.
